Monsters University Site

If you haven’t already seen it, check out the Monsters University site to promote the prequel to Monsters Inc.  Sadly, it’s a much nicer website than most of the real university sites I’ve seen, including my alma mater.

There is even a password protected faculty and student portal.  I haven’t seriously tried to get in, but I do wonder if there is a real site behind that too and if there is somewhere to get a username / password.

Welcome to 2013

Since you are reading this, we obviously survived the Mayan apocalypse, and here we are in 2013.  Hopefully everyone is having a good year so far.

I’ve obviously not done a good job keeping up with my fruit/baby pictures, so I just posted a couple to catch up.  I’m going to try to be more on the ball with those moving forward.  Things are still going really well, so hopefully my neglect didn’t cause any worry.

I was surprised but the Kickstarter project I’d pledged to met its goal and was funded.  Actually it blew past the goal by $330,000!  So now I have a new version of the game Elite to look forward to sometime in 2014.

We saw Les Miserables.  Good movie.  Spoiler alert: every time you turned around, someone was even more miserable.  Very miserable people.

I’ve been catching up on my photo organization for 2011 and 2012.  I’m almost done uploading all of my photos to my flickr account.  I really need to do a better job keeping up with that this year.

Today, we went curling at the Granite Curling Club.  I’ve been wanting to try it out for a long time and I figure it is probably my last chance at Olympic glory.  I’m not sure if I really have a shot at the Olympics, but it was a lot of fun.  Here I am learning how to sweep.

Being a California girl, Amber was a natural, of course.  (She really did good and won our first game end for us.)  Here’s Amber learning how to throw the stone:

It’s definitely something I’m hoping to do again with more friends.  Their next open house is February 9, so let me know if you are interested.

Weeks 10 and 11

Okay, I’m a little behind on this but here are pictures for weeks 10 and 11.
