It’s official

So I have to admit, I underestimated my (approximately six) readers.  I thought that if I posted a random picture of a lima bean, no one would really think anything about it.  Or if they did, that it would be something like, “huh, that’s a strange picture.  Well, he’s kind of a strange guy sometimes, so that makes sense.”

I figured it would be a couple more weeks and more posts of pictures of legumes or fruit before anyone would really start to question what it was all about.  As it turns out, you are more perceptive than I gave you credit for.  Our friend Kathy correctly deduced less than 24 hours after my post the true meaning behind the picture: Amber is pregnant.

It’s probably earlier than most people usually reveal such news – next week is actually just week eight - but we’re very happy and I just can’t help myself.  We had an ultrasound earlier this week and got to see the heartbeat.  Pretty cool, huh?  Life really is amazing.

Our doctor actually called her our little lima bean, but I guess I jumped the gun a little on the picture for week eight.  Here’s a better approximation of week seven.

No, we really don’t know that she’s a she.  Maybe he’s a he.  I think she’s a she, though.

Ha! I thought both of those things! But... I thought that a lima bean was too big... Someone, or rather some TV show said it was about the size of lentil... Anyway, I don't know the size of anything. I am pretty sure I am bigger than a bread box. What is yours like?
